The Monastery of Saint John the New of Suceava is a monastery of monks, under the patronage of Great Martyr Saint George. It was built to face the multitude of believers coming to worship relics of Saint John the New.

The interior and the exterior painting go back to Petru Rares' reign - 1534-1535.
