Where is it located?

Mangalia is situated in the south - east of the country, 45 km south of Constanta, 11 km north of the frontier with Bulgaria, on the west coast of the Black Sea, and it is a permanent spa.

The southernmost of the Romanian seaside resorts, Mangalia is at the same latitude with other Mediterranean countries such as Monaco, San Remo and Nisa.

Tourist port Mangalia  is the only port on the Black Sea for pleasure boats at the European technical and quality standards that will allow the inclusion in the elite network of tourist ports of Mediterranean and Black Sea.

Mangalia Stud  is situated 3 km north of Mangalia city and only 500 m from the western shore of the Black Sea, it was not placed here by chance, but considering the geoclimaterice of Arab race. The Stud is also a great entertainment centre and tourist attraction. The complex has a racecourse gallop and is well equipped.

Lake Mangalia  between Mangalia swamp and Saturn is a wide stretch of beach and it is a welcoming place. To the west, in the immediate neighborhood a vast mirror of water lies, with many cords and islands of reeds. The lake is very accessible, being flanked to the west by  Mangalia-Constanta highway and to the east by asphalt road that connects  Mangalia and Saturn, and its surface of 99 hectares makes it an important point visible from any direction. Here one can find rent, egrets, swans and several species of birds, the water turtles, water snakes, etc.

Hagieni forest nature reserve  located on the left side of the road Mangalia-Albeşti Hagieni Forest is one of the most valuable pieces of Dobrogea natural heritage. Reserve surprises with the variety of landscape, so different from season to season. You can find here paludous ponds with aquatic vegetation, rocky steppes in full sun, rib and rape of limestone, clusters of thorn bushes, clearings and forest steppe vegetation that shadevarious species, predominantly as a natural submediteranean forest.

Callatis Festival  takes place in August each year. The performances of last year took place on shell -stage of the tourist port of Mangalia, in a very special setting. Each evening had a show with a specific theme.
