Top of the ski slopes in Romania

Description:

1. Cavnic Resort offers its guests ski slopes with a cumulative length of 6 km, opened each winter season for 5 months. It is equipped with a means of transportation with modern cables. Runs start from an altitude of 950 m to 1260 m with an average incline of 24%, 14% of the trails, slopes average 21 %. Slopes are smoothed to European standards.

Ski slopes of Straja are furnished with 7 ski slopes, each being equipped with the installation of lifts. Four of these benefit of an installation for nights, making it possible to use the slopes until late.

Slopes in the Azuga Resort are stormed every year with a large number of tourists. Here they are greeted by two slopes: Sorica and Cazacu. On the first slope mentioned one may ski during the night  There are artificial snow guns. There is a lift on the slope and a skilift with a program that may be extended upon request.

Slopes of Poiana Brasov Resort The first contest took place in Romania, in 1906 and in 1951 World University Winter Games were held in Poiana Brasov.  Today the nine slopes total 14,331 meters. A new gondola (a very modern one) was inaugurated last year for Christmas.

Slopes of Vatra Dornei (near the spa)- The main resort of Bukovina  benefits from three ski slopes. Even in downtown there are two slopes, which are organized for the Winter's festival every year. In 2005 a new lift , called Poienita, serving the Park slope 2, was inaugurated . The track has undergone serious improvements this summer, for the ski season in 2009. The third  ski part of Vatra Dornei, located on  Dealu Negru, is one of the longest in our country.

Predeal mountain Resort is equipped with eight ski slopes. Three of them are approved of for international usage:

 

  • Clabucet slope 1
  • Subteleferic slope
  • Clabucet slope


Predeal is primarily known for broad and sunny ski slopes. If weather conditions are not favourable there are facilities for artificial snow.Ski slopes extend over an area exceeding 50 square kilometers.

Slopes of Bran are an important reference point for tourism in Romania, due to both its beauty, the landscape, and the legendary Bran Castle. Near the Zanoaga slope 2 slopes have recently been opened  (totaling 6 hectares) in the good conditions. Slopes are equipped with the installation of lifts.

Slopes in Sovata resort offer possibilities for winter sports, skiing in ski resort located 6 km away, They are equipped with a chairlift ready for tourists.

Busteni Resort slopes of Kalinderu slope is one of the most modern part of the country and can make you fall in love with the ski town at the bottom of Caraiman Mountain.

Slopes in Sinaia -try to venture down the maximum Carp slope ( if you are a professional!)The slope is recommended but only to very experienced skiers, the risk of accidents is relatively high. There is still an easy option, which descends on Drumul de Vara. 
But you should not miss Valea Dorului. The three slopes, served by an elevator, have at the end a cottage that attracts like a magnet.
