Description:

Turda City is one of the six cities of Cluj and the second largest, in terms of population numbers.
It is located in the south of the county, in the passage of Aries lower depression. Its territory is bordered by the city administration the Turza Plain southeast territories Călăraşi, Mihai Viteazu, Sănduleşti, Tureni, Ploscoş and Viisoara. Turda city location along the major thoroughfares of Romania - DN1-E60-E81 - associated with access to two other roads, DN15 and DN75.

Tourism
Turda Gorges - impressive cleft of the mountain river Hasdate - generously offers its beauties with all categories of tourists.
Among the best known caves are: Cetatuia Mare, Bat Cave, Hungarian Cave, Modoloaie Cave.
Most impressive landforms are over rocky. Beside the cathedral called Coltul Cocosului are others:

Turnul Bors, Turnul Galben, Coltul Sansil, Coltul Cetatii
Great amount of geological treasures, flora, fauna and fully justify the decisions of national and international fora with care and environmental protection of its most precious gems. It is therefore legitimate interest aroused among the Turda Gorges numerous lovers of nature and that the more the more you other targets around attraction.

Salt Baths - The existence of massive wealth and exploitation of salt over many centuries have created in the north-east of the city, approx. 2 km from its center, a specific landscape of microdepresiunea salt is Salt Baths. 
Salt exploitation, karstification processes of the massive salt and landslides have favored the formation of numerous lakes in various stages of evolution. Some lakes, especially those ranked antroposalted of former salt mines are used by the population for therapeutic purposes or for pleasure. 

Turda Salina - The first document in Turda salt extraction dates from 1271. 
Over the years it was found that saline environment is very favorable in the treatment of respiratory diseases due to constant temperature of 10-12 degrees Celsius and humidity of 75-80% and because the optimal concentration of aerosols (fine solid particles of salt). 
Between January 2008 - January 2010 has been a process of modernization of Turda Salina. After it was created a new look and extended functionality of Turda Salina. History Museum is the most valuable monument of medieval architecture and civil municipality only palace that preserves parts dating from the late fifteenth century or beginning of next. He represented former residence or the Princely House of Prince Sigismund Bathory. The building has received consideration over time, being among the favorite residences of princes.

• Wolf (Lupa Capitolina)

It is a copy of a bronze etrusce statue from Roma. He is currently located in the Romana Square.

• Statue of Dr. Ioan Ratiu

Cornel Medrea work of the sculptor, was built in 1930. Is situated in the December 1, 1918

• Grave of the Mihai Viteazu
