A new tourist destination, dedicated to winter sports, was officially inaugurated on Sunday.

It is Şureanu ski domain, which has seven pistes with a total length of about 7 kilometers and two lifts serving all slopes.

This is only the beginning, because investors who ventured to make this investment, is to expand the ski area so that the party to reach a total length of 12 kilometers. All this is happening in an area of rare beauty, with a name as: “Poarta Raiului” (Gate of Heaven).

At “Poarta Raiului” (Gate of Heaven),  will be arranged from zero one nine resort. All documentation is approved, land already leased for hostels and hotels, and the spring will be started and raising constructions. Now the area is nothing but a high alpine glade, with a wonderful landscape in any part you look. "Here we are at the “Poarta Raiului” (Gate of Heaven). Inauguration expected
The inauguration was eagerly anticipated. Over one hundred of skiers were already on the slope in the first days of lift facilities operated at full capacity. Most were from County Alba, but could be seen machines Sibiu, Cluj and Bucharest, showing ski buffs are excited to try the latest tracks from Romania.
