Gala "Gopo" borrows more and more the style of its "sisters" , i.e. Western Cesar and BAFTA. The awards ceremony of the film industry in Romania will be held in the Union Hall of Parliament Palace.

Gala will be held this evening, from 9.10 PM, on TVR 1 and on Radio Romania Cultural. The arrival of 800 guests on the red carpet will be pursued since the 7.30 PM ( please also visit the sites www.premiilegopo.ro and www.tvr.ro; also the passersby from Union Square will be put in touch with the  atmosphere through the biggest outdoor screen in Romania)

As anticipated guest list, all the cream of Romanian cinema should meet today at the Parliament Palace. Besides nominees Corneliu Porumboiu, Cristian Mungiu, Radu Mihaileanu, Dragos Bucur, Maria Dinulescu, Monica Birladeanu, Bobby Paunescu, Andi Vasluianu, Mircea Daneliuc, Florin Piersic Jr., Bucharest mayor Sorin Oprescu, Minister of Culture - Kelemen Hunor , Draga Olteanu Matei, Maia Morgenstern, Marin Moraru, Dorel Visan, Medea Marinescu, Nae Caranfil, Tania Budi are also expected.

Romanian Oscar night is devised by Romanian Film Promotion Association (APFR), supported by the National Centre for Cinematography.
