PepsiAmericas To Invest $150M In Factory S Romania

PepsiAmericas, the second largest world's Pepsi-Cola bottler, will invest $150 million in building its largest factory in Europe, nearby the capital city Bucharest.

The factory will cover 30,000 square meters.

PepsiAmericas took over in 2007 the group Quadrant-Amroq Bottling QAB, namely Pepsi beverage producer and distributor in Romania.

QAB Romania owns two production units in Bucharest and one in Covasna.

Early August, PepsiCo signed an agreement to take over the two large Pepsi bottlers, namely Pepsi Bottling Group and PepsiAmericas, in a $7.8 million deal.

PepsiAmericas sales were down 6% in the second quarter, at $1.26 billion, compared with $1.34 billion in the same period a year ago.
